The First Annual Sarasota Bay Watch's Great Scallop Search - 2008
On August 23, 2008 Sarasota Bay Watch held its inaugural event The Sarasota Bay Great Scallop Search at Ken Thompson Park on City Island!

The event was a resounding success with 31 boats and 62 searches finding 947 scallops from Longboat Pass in Manatee County to Big Pass in Sarasota County. This is great news for the bay and the reason you should join us in our efforts to keep Sarasota Bay (Anna Maria Sound to Venice Inlet) clean and healthy.
