There are Three Club Announcements
1. From Captain Rick Grassett: I will be the guide for a fly fishing trip for one or two anglers to fish with me and Chico Fernandez. The trip, which is being sold in an online Father's Day silent auction, will benefit the Snook Foundation.

2. OIL CRISIS INFORMATION
CCA Florida Alert On Oil Spill Response:
CCA Florida is monitoring events related to the tragic rig explosion and subsequent oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
We have been in contact with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission and Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and have been notified that recreational vessels may be needed to assist in oil recovery / clean-up efforts.
CCA Florida has offered to assist FWC in these efforts in any way possible. We do not yet know exactly what might be requested of our members, or even if our help will be requested at all, but we are asking that members, specifically those in coastal counties, be prepared to lend whatever assistance you can when and if we are called upon to help.
Please monitor your email for additional information on the spill and any requests for us to help. We have worked very hard to protect and enhance our coastal resources, and our efforts may be needed more than ever in the days and weeks ahead. Thank you.

Please note: If you find an oiled bird, DO NOT rescue it. DO NOT handle it as protective clothing must be worn. Call your local Emergency Response Center. The number for Sarasota is 941-861-5000
We need your help during the current oil spill crisis that is threatening the Gulf Coast. Our Oiled Wildlife ResponseTeam is on stand by waiting for the official call to respond. You can help by making a secure donation on our web page here....
We continue to receive generous donations to help with our oiled bird rescue. We still need donations that will be used to replenish supplies at our SOS center that have been tapped for use in this effort. We also continue to need supplies (as noted on our wish list available here....) to support our work with rescued birds at our center in Sarasota.
Due to restrictions imposed by state and federal agencies, we are unable to accept volunteers without hazerdous materials training for on site oil spill response. However, SOS is in need of help at our Sarasota facility due to the reassignment of many of our staff members to address this crisis. Contact SOS at 941-388-3010 if you are able to help.
